Facilities at Mazzard Farm
At Mazzard Farm, we have all the ingredients available for a lovely, relaxing, and truly unforgettable holiday. For example:
- The cottages are equipped to an extremely high standard, and we believe we have provided everything you may need. All linen is provided too as standard. Yet if you get here and feel we have forgotten something, tell us and we’ll do all we can to get it for you.
- We know that when you pack for your holidays, the last thing you want to have to worry about is bulky toys, games, books, etc. For that reason, we provide all of these, for those who need them. In addition, we can provide you with cots (incl. Linen), a pram, beach towels, and much more. If there is anything specific you feel we can help you with, again, just ask!
- There are a number of barbeque areas in the grounds (BBQs provided).
- On-site, there is ample opportunity to move around, including our orchard, gardens, children’s play area and our own woods. In addition, there are many walks and rambles in the (immediate) area, some of whom start right from the farm.
- The first children’s play area includes a trampoline, sand pit, climbing frame and slide. In addition, a second larger outdoor play area, with large 'pirate castle', swings, TP's and football pitch is aimed especially at the older children. Baby-sitting can be arranged. Indeed, all the ingredients you need for a true child friendly holiday, yet without forgetting about the adults!
- We have some bikes (incl. Child seats and a tag-along) available for rent. If this is of interest to you (note: cycling in East Devon is not for the faint-hearted!), let us know, ideally in advance, and we can reserve these for you.
- We have a good selection of books, games, CDs and DVDs, free for you to borrow whilst at Mazzard Farm. WiFi (free of charge) is available in each cottage
- There is a laundry room with washing machine, dryer and ironing board.
- We have a freezer (accessible 24/7) filled with croissants, pain au chocolats and baguettes, and we provide various other fresh produce, depending on season. In addition, there are a lot of local providers who can supply the most delightful produce, such as meats, fish, ready meals, and lots more. We’d happily assist you and pre-order if this is of interest. We can even organise a personal chef for you, if that would be something you would like.
- All the main supermarkets can deliver at Mazzard Farm (please coordinate a delivery slot with us before you complete your order).
- If you would like extra cleaning and/or changing of linen, tell us and we will organise this for you at a small extra fee.
- With Jacqueline being a holistic therapist, treatments such as Reflexology, Japanese Facial, Chinese Foot Massage, Indian Head Message or Hopi Ear Candling are available on-site, and can be booked in advance. See Be Pampered section for further detail.
- In November 2010, we are hoping to start building an indoor swimming pool and spa, to be ready for early 2011. Drop us a note and we will keep you posted of progress.
