Get in the saddle
Cycling in Devon
If you enjoy cycling, then Mazzard Farm is a great base for you. Whether you are a keen, lycra-clad, racer, prefer off-road, or just want a nice cycle with the family, a whole host of options presents itself here in East Devon. The roads immediately around Mazzard Farm offer some great road racing opportunities (some of them regularly feature in the Tour of Britain), and some great climbing opportunities (some as steep as 20%) are there for those who want them.
Our little secret
As a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), East Devon is known for its magnificent red cliffs on the Jurassic coast, its vivid green hills, heath land and ancient trees. It’s also one of mountain biking’s best kept secrets. From the Sid Valley to the Exe Estuary there is riding for all standards; gentle tracks and swooping single-track vie with steep climbs and rocky descents.
Ride with us
We’ve teamed up with Bike Guide Devon to offer the very best guided bike weekends in the area. Forget the man-made berms, and board walks of the trail centres. Instead you will ride away from the crowds and discover the best trails that only a local knows how to find. You’ll also find big views, vibrant colours, an iron age fort and lots of wildlife.
Ride with a guide
Riding with a guide leaves you free to relax and enjoy the best the area has to offer. In two full days of riding you will ride exhilarating natural single track and feel the burn on our steep climbs. If you get too hot, we can grab a dip in the sea too. Lunch (which is not included in the price) will be at a local pub or cafe.
